Program Logical File Open Shares (PGOPENS)
Program Logical File Open Shares (PGOPENS)
This 74-column chart provides an overview of logical file opens by programs, where
programs are all processes running from the same program object file. The chart
displays:
•
Program file name
•
Number of processes run from the program file
•
The program’s share of all logical file opens and a graph of this share
•
Cumulative share of all logical file opens
This chart uses the GLOBINFO, PGMTOTAL, PROGSUM, and PROGLIO entities.
Parameters used are:
•
LID—specifies the Measure Load ID
•
EXCLUDE—specifies a value under which to exclude the number of requests per
second
•
SECTION—specifies the report section number
The chart is sorted in descending order of total logical file opens.
Program Logical I/O Wait Shares (PGLIOWT)
This 74-column chart provides an overview of logical file I/O wait times by programs,
where programs are all processes running from the same program object file. Only disk
files and spooler files are charted. The chart displays:

Program file name
•
Number of processes run from the program file

NOTE: An exclamation point (!) following a Program File Name
indicates that a least one process in the group executed
more than 100 File Opens.
