Using the SPAM Performance Data Charts and
Reports

Busiest Disc Files (Logical I/Os, by Volume)
(LIOBVOL)

Average bytes per message sent
•
Selectivity percentage (records used divided by records accessed)
•
Number of disk reads per logical I/O
The report aggregates all opens of the same file into one report line. All counts are in
units per second.
This report uses the GLOBINFO and FILESUM entities.
Parameters used are:
•
LID—specifies the Measure Load ID
•
EXCLUDE—specifies a value under which to exclude the number of requests per
second
•
SECTION—specifies the report section number
The report is sorted by file, system, and name and descending total file busy time.
Busiest Disc Files (Logical I/Os, by Volume) (LIOBVOL)
This 132-column report shows the busiest disk files on each volume, in terms of total
logical I/O requests. The report includes:

File system name and file name
•
Total number of opens
•
File’s file busy (wait) time as percentage of volume total
