Task 3: Set Up SPAM
TACL routines to install and set up the package for your use and to load data from
UWS files and new queries.
Task 3.1: Install SPAM With TINSTALL
To install SPAM files in your current subvolume:
2> RUN TINSTALL
TINSTALL uses FUP to duplicate files to your specified work subvolume. TINSTALL
purges any obsolete versions of SPAM files from your work subvolume. (FUP might
report several error 11 warnings, which you can ignore.) TINSTALL then invokes FUP
to create files needed by the report queries.
After TINSTALL runs, your work subvolume will contain the TLOADSEG, XREFDIR,
and XREFRPTS files. If you later need more files, you can copy them individually.
Task 3.2: Load the TACL Macros
1. To be able to use the TACL macros:
3>RUN TINSTALL $volume.subvol
4>RUN $volume.subvol TLOADSEG
2. For ease in running SPAM in the future, include this command in your TACLCSTM
file:
RUN $volume.subvol.TLOADSEG
TLOADSEG is always loaded automatically when you log on to TACL.
