Extracting System File Label Information (TPSFL)
Extracting System File Label Information
(TPSFL)
TPDC invokes the Tandem Performance System File Label (TPSFL) program once
each day to extract file label information about all disk files on a system. It stores this
information in files suitable for use with all languages and query facilities available on
an HP NonStop Kernel system.
How TPSFL Works
1. TPSFL performs several basic checks for operability and system accessibility.
2. TPSFL determines the number of disks on the system and establishes allocations
for the requested files based on this number.
3. TPSFL begins processing in the ascending volume name order of the disks on the
system.
