Device Distribution Report
Device Distribution Report
The Device Distribution report summarizes the devices on the system, providing a
high-level view of how the system is configured with respect to I/O devices.
The possible device types are described in the System Procedure Calls Reference
Manual. The Device Distribution report displays the count of each device type on the
system being measured and gives a brief description of the device type. In this
example, the system has 26 type-3 disk devices.
Device Type Description
briefly describes the device type. The GNAME entity is the source of this
information.
Type
lists the device type, from 1 through 66, as assigned by the system procedure
calls. The LDEVDST entity is the source of this information.
Count
displays the number of devices of this particular type that are on this system. The
LDEVDST entity is the source of this information.
Total Devices
displays the total number of devices on this system.
