This parameter is overridden by any values set for individual folders when they are
created.
You can set this flag using one of three values:
T Causes packages to be stored in chronological order by the date and time they
were filed to the group INBOX, or by date and time of being filed in another
folder. T is the initial TRANSFER default.
C Causes packages to be stored in alphabetic order by the correspondent name of the
correspondent who created the package; multiple packages from the same
correspondent are stored in chronological order according to the time they
arrived.
E Causes packages to be stored in chronological order by the earliest specified
delivery date and time. (If you file a package before it is sent, the creation date
and time are used.)
Ascending Order. This input field specifies whether items ordered as defined in the
Ordering Discipline field will be stored in an ascending or descending sequence. For
example, if a folder is ordered by T (time of saving) in descending order, the most
recent additions to the folder appear first when the folder is scanned or read.
The default is N (descending order).
Duplicates Allowed. This input field specifies whether messages that have duplicate key
fields can be stored in the same folder. For example, if the ordering is by creator name,
with no duplicates allowed, no more than one message created by a given
correspondent can be saved in a folder.
The initial TRANSFER default allows duplicates.
Keep items for. This input field specifies a limit on how long a package is saved in any
new folder before TRANSFER discards it. This parameter is overridden by any values
set for individual folders when they are created.
The interval can be from 0 through 9999 M (minutes), H (hours), or D (days), but
cannot be longer than the maximum retention time set for the depot.
The default for this value is 0 minutes. An item retention time of 0 means that
TRANSFER will never automatically eliminate the message.
Depot Maximum
The following parameter establishes maximum item retention time for any folder.
Keep items for. This input field specifies a limit on how long an item is saved in any
folder (not just new folders) in the group depot before TRANSFER discards it. This
interval can be from 0 through 9999 M (minutes), H (hours), or D (days).
The default for this value is 0 minutes. An item retention time of 0 means that
TRANSFER never automatically eliminates the message.
