Managing Distribution Lists

The X400 correspondent with whom you wish to correspond can supply this value, or
you can see your system manager.
Org. Name. This is an input field for an organization associated with your recipient,
typically your X400 recipient's organization. The X400 correspondent with whom you
wish to correspond must supply this value, or you can see your system manager.
Personal Name
The following fields establish the precise name and address of the X400 correspondent.
Surname. This is an input field for your recipient's surname.
Given Name. This is an input field for your recipient's given, or first, name.
Initials. This is an input field for your recipient's initials.
Gen. Qual. This is an input field for general quality. The X400 correspondent with
whom you wish to correspond must supply this value.
Org. Unit 1 ...Org. Unit 4. The four Org Unit fields allow a recipient to establish more
specificity in an X400 name. One or more Org. Units in a name can, for example, help
route a message down through the levels of an organization until it reaches the
recipient's electronic inbox. The X400 correspondent with whom you wish to
correspond can supply this value, or you can see your system manager.
Free Form Name. This is an input field for any additional information about the
correspondent that you want to record. Any character string is accepted in this field.
The information in this field is not used in routing the message.
Telephone Number. This is an input field for the X400 correspondent's telephone
number. The information in this field is not used in routing the message, but can
prove useful if you want to call and find out if any elements of the correspondent's
name have changed.

Correspondent
This is a display field containing the name of the correspondent specified in the
Correspondent field on the first page of the DISTRIBUTION LIST X400 MEMBER
screen. System administrators and read-only administrators can enter the names of
other correspondents in this field. A value entered here will also appear in this field
on the first page of the screen.
Distribution List
This is a display field containing the name of the distribution list specified on the first
page of the DISTRIBUTION LIST X400 MEMBER screen. It is an input field for users
with administrative privileges, who can enter distribution list names for groups for
which they have privileges. A value entered here will also appear in this field on the
first page of the screen.
