FOLDER ATTRIBUTES Screen
Listing, Adding, and Deleting Folders

Type
This display field specifies the type of folder created. Possible values are P (private) or
B (bulletin board).
If the name of the new folder is a private folder name in the form folder name, the
system will assign it a Type of P. If the name for the new folder is a shared folder
name in the form

, the system will assign it a Type of B.
Creator Name
This display field specifies the correspondent name of the folder creator.
What Correspondents and
Read-Only Administrators
Can Do
As a correspondent or read-only administrator, you can establish folders for your own
depot or for a nonrestrictive group; that is, a group you belong to whose profile allows
members to create folders. You can perform the following tasks:
Add a folder to your own depot by entering the name on the Folder Name field,
filling in the appropriate fields, and pressing F7.
Add a folder for a nonrestrictive group to which you belong. You enter the name
on the Folder Name field in the form

the appropriate fields and press F7.
Recover the FOLDER ATTRIBUTES screen in its previous state by pressing SF14.
This function can be useful if, for example, the contents of the screen become
garbled due to a communication error. RECOVER brings the screen back.
Get the Help screen for an explanation of the FOLDER ATTRIBUTES screen or the
message currently displayed on the advice line by pressing F15.
Return to the previous screen by pressing F16.
Return to the MAIN MENU by pressing SF16.
What Group Administrators
and Creators Can Do
As a group administrator or creator, you can perform the same functions as a
correspondent. In addition, you can create folders for groups whose profiles reserve
management privileges for administrators.
What System
Administrators Can Do
As a system administrator, you can perform the same functions as correspondents and
the other administrators. In addition, you can perform these functions for folders
belonging to any correspondent or any group.
To specify a correspondent for which to perform a function, enter the correspondent
name in the Correspondent field. To specify a group for which to perform a function,
enter the group name and folder name or search pattern on the Folder Name field in
the form
