If you want to add or modify an agent for which there is no configuration screen
already defined by a user or supplied by Tandem, request an add or alter function at
the AGENTS screen. You will get the AGENT CONFIGURATION screen. Use this
screen to update the configuration for an existing agent or enter the configuration for a
new agent.

SCREEN COBOL: Y Y = agent is a SCREEN COBOL run unit.
N = agent is a PATHWAY server class.
Need Session: Y Y = agent needs a session. N = no session.
Application ID for Logon: 0 Application ID to use when starting session.
Application IDs from: 0 Packages with Application IDs
within this range are eligible for
through: 9999 processing by this agent.
Agent Select Values from: 0 Packages with Agent Select values
within this range are eligible for
through: 9999 processing by this agent.
Enter any data needed by the agent on the following line:

Screen-Specific Fields Input and display fields specific to the AGENT CONFIGURATION screen are defined
in the following paragraphs.
Correspondent/Group.
This is a display-only field for the name of the correspondent or group depot to which
this agent is assigned.
Agent Name. This is a display-only field for the agent name selected or entered on the
AGENTS screen.
SCREEN COBOL. This is an input field indicating whether the agent is written in
SCREEN COBOL or another application language. Enter Y (yes) if the agent is a
SCREEN COBOL program. Enter N (no) if the agent is written in another language
and needs a server class configured in PATHWAY. See your system manager for
details.
Need Session . This is an input field. Enter Y (yes) if the agent requires a session to be
started before the agent can operate. An N (no) means no session is required.
A session started for an agent is not considered a correspondent session and does not
affect concurrent session checking for a correspondent.
