VACATION AGENT
CONFIGURATION
Screen
You get the VACATION AGENT CONFIGURATION screen by pressing either F7 or
F8 at the AGENTS screen. If the vacation agent is already configured for the depot
and is listed on the AGENTS screen, place the cursor next to the vacation agent and
press F8. If a vacation agent is not listed on the AGENTS screen, type VACATION in
the New Agent Name field and press F7.
Note Before you press F7 on the AGENTS screen to add the vacation agent, position the cursor at the agent
name before which the vacation agent is to be inserted. In this way, you can dictate the order in which
agents act on each incoming message and ensure that the vacation agent handles a message before
another agent makes it unavailable (for example, by filing it to a different folder).
Use this screen to configure the vacation agent, supplied by Tandem, to handle
incoming packages automatically when a correspondent or interest group cannot
attend to a depot for an extended time. The vacation agent can be configured to
perform the following tasks:
Send a standard reply to correspondents who send packages.
Forward packages, accompanied by a standard message, to another correspondent
or an interest group.
File packages in a specified folder and automatically delete them from the INBOX
folder.
Delete packages from the INBOX folder.
