Note The following fields are relevant only if the Collect Statistics field is set to Y. They are ignored if the
system is not configured to collect statistics.
Statistics Ready
This display-only field specifies whether statistics are ready for viewing. Possible
values are Y (yes) and N (no). When it contains an N, this field indicates that statistics
are currently being computed and will be ready shortly. The setting of this field is
ignored if the Collect Statistics field is set to N.
Count Items When Examined
This field specifies whether TRANSFER will count items for statistics purposes as soon
as they are delivered to a depot INBOX or will wait to count items until the recipient
has examined them. Possible values are Y (yes) and N (no). A Y value in this field
tells TRANSFER not to count an item until the recipient has examined it. An N
dictates that each item be counted as soon as it is delivered to the INBOX. The default
is N.
Base Time
This field specifies the time of day when statistics collection is to take place. For
example, if base time is set to 12:00 and the sample interval is set to 1 day, ADMIN
takes a snapshot of TRANSFER depot disk storage every day at noon.
This field can contain values ranging from 00:00 to 23:59. 00:00 means 12 o'clock
midnight. The default is 00:00.
Sample Interval
This field indicates how often statistics are collected. For example, if the sample
interval is specified as 1D, ADMIN collects samples once a day. The value for the
sample interval can range from 1 to 9999 in units of minutes, hours, or days. The
default is one day (1D).
Number of Samples (Per Average)
This field specifies how many samples are collected per depot. The oldest sample is
dropped when the number of samples collected is greater than the configured number
of samples. For example, if the value in this field is 5, the first sample disappears
when the sixth sample is collected.
The value for this field can range from 1 through 58. If the value in the Number of
Averages field (defined immediately following this definition) is greater than zero,
TRANSFER also averages the collected samples and stores the computed average. The
default number of samples is 7.
Number of Averages
This field shows how many averages are to be saved. Each average is the average of
several samples. The number of samples used is specified in the Number of Samples
