Accessing ADMIN Once ADMIN is installed at your node, you can access the product one of two ways:
From an application such as the TRANSFER client PS MAIL
From the GUARDIAN 90 TACL prompt.
From a TRANSFER Client To reach ADMIN from a TRANSFER client or other application, reference the ADMIN
access procedure in the manual for the application. The procedure will usually bypass
the ADMIN logon screen and take you directly to the MAIN MENU.
From the GUARDIAN 90
TACL Prompt
ADMIN runs on the PATHWAY transaction processing system, thus you access
ADMIN through PATHCOM, the command interface to PATHWAY. Enter the
following from your GUARDIAN 90 TACL prompt:
TACL 1> PATHCOM $< process name>
where process name specifies the PATHMON process under which your
TRANSFER system is running. PATHMON is the central monitoring process in a
PATHWAY system. With most TRANSFER systems, the default process name is
$TRPM.
After you receive your PATHCOM prompt (=), type:
=run ADMIN
The ADMIN LOGON screen appears. How you log on to ADMIN using the LOGON
screen is described in the next section.
Figure 2-1 illustrates the two methods of accessing ADMIN.
