Examples of Getting

Started with ADMIN

Following are examples for logging on to ADMIN, getting the MAIN MENU, and

choosing a function on the MAIN MENU.

LOGON Example In this example, Bob Dunsford logs on by calling up the ADMIN LOGON screen from

the GUARDIAN 90 TACL prompt. He follows these steps:

1. First, he enters the following from the TACL prompt:

TACL 1> PATHCOM $TRPM

As it is on most TRANSFER systems, the PATHMON process name on Bob's

TRANSFER system is called $TRPM.

2. After Bob receives his PATHCOM prompt (=), he types:

=run ADMIN

The ADMIN LOGON screen appears.

Bob follows these steps to get the MAIN MENU screen;

1. He types his correspondent name in the Correspondent Name field.

2. He types his password in the Password field. As a security precaution, the

password does not appear on the screen.

3. Bob presses F16 to log on and get the MAIN MENU screen.
