the left of the document text, in addition to any default indention. You can indicate an
indent of 0 and 99 spaces from the left margin. The default value is 5.
If the output device is a disk file or if output is to be formatted, this field is ignored.
Page per package. This input field allows you to choose to print each message on a new
page. If you type Y (yes) in the field, PS MAIL prints each message on a new page; a
value of N (no) specifies that PS MAIL print as many messages as can fit on a page.
The default value is N.
Correspondents can override this setting at the time of printing by using the keywords
PAGE and NOPAGE.
If the output device is a disk file or if output is to be formatted, this field is ignored.
Default output device. This is an input field containing the default output location used
when a PS MAIL client requests print or format functions. For PS MAIL messages,
this location must specify a printer or a spooler location; it cannot be a
GUARDIAN 90 file.
If you type a partially qualified name in this field, the name is expanded using the
default system, volume, and subvolume. The device must be at your node.
Default system. This is an input field for the name of the default system. The field
usually specifies the name of the local system where the correspondent resides.
ADMIN provides this default system name when a correspondent requests the edit,
print, copy, format, or add attachment functions.
If you do not enter a default system, PS MAIL uses the current GUARDIAN 90 default
system name associated with the GUARDIAN 90 user ID specified in the
correspondent TRANSFER profile.
Default volume.subvol. This input field contains the default volume and subvolume used
when a correspondent requests the edit, print, copy, format, or add attachment
functions.
If you do not enter a default volume and subvolume name, PS MAIL uses the current
GUARDIAN 90 default volume and subvolume associated with the GUARDIAN 90
user ID specified in the correspondent TRANSFER profile. If a remote system name is
typed in the Default System field, the default volume and subvolume for the remote
system must also be supplied for remote file name verification.
Name of Formatter. This field contains the GUARDIAN 90 file name of the formatter
program used when a correspondent requests the PS MAIL format function.
The default formatter is $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.TFORM. If you want to specify another
formatter program, type the file name in the Name of Formatter field. The file name
must be a valid GUARDIAN 90 file name, in the form of $volume.subvolume.filename.
The formatter you specify must be installed at your node.
You can change this default on the PS MAIL 6530 and PS MAIL 3270 profile screens
and in PS MAIL TTY using the ALTERFORMATTER command.
