TRANSFER Errors (4000-6999)

Ambiguous name.
Cause. You entered an abbreviated name (containing wild-card characters) that could
not be expanded into a unique name.
Effect. TRANSFER could not identify the name you want.
Recovery. Make the name unique by entering more of the name’s actual characters
before or after the wild-card character.
4028
Bad suffix; cannot fully resolve name as given.
Cause. This is an internal error code.
Effect. The requested function is not performed.
Recovery. Ask your system manager to report this error to the Tandem Online
Support Center.
4033
The current item was not found within the context specified.
Cause. Although you have the proper access permission to use the specified item, it
was not found in the folder or depot specified by the TRANSFER application as the
Current Context.
Effect. The requested item is not retrieved.
Recovery. Double-check to make sure you have the proper name for the item you
want and that you are requesting it from within the TRANSFER application in which it
is defined. Then try again. If the request continues to fail, report the problem to your
system manager.
4035
Item not found.
Cause. There are two possible causes:
1. This message could have been deleted automatically by TRANSFER because it
expired or exceeded its defined retention time.
2. The message could reflect an internal inconsistency.
Effect. The requested item is not retrieved.
Recovery. If you are certain that cause 1 does not explain your receiving this message,
ask the system manager to run the TCHECK file utility to correct inconsistencies in the
TRANSFER database.
