TRANSFER Errors (4000-6999)

To start retrieval on or after a specific recipient, enter the complete recipient name
(including node name) or a pattern with node name in the Starting Recipient Name
field, set any options desired, and press F4.

Name processing error on correspondent name.
Cause. An error has occurred while processing a correspondent name.
Effect. The requested function is not performed.
Recovery. A GUARDIAN 90 error number is displayed at the right of the advice line.
If the error number is 40, an I/O operation has timed out; retry the operation. If the
error persists, report it to the system manager or the Tandem Online Support Center.

Correspondent name not found.
Cause. The correspondent name you entered for the requested function is not a
correspondent name registered at your node.
Effect. The requested function is not performed.
Recovery. Check to make sure you’re spelling the correspondent name correctly and
try the operation again.

Correspondent name is invalid or blank.
Cause. You entered an invalid correspondent name.
Effect. The requested function is not performed.
Recovery. The name might contain illegal characters or embedded blanks, or the name
field might be blank. Check to make sure you’re spelling the correspondent name
correctly and try the operation again.

Wrong type for a correspondent or recipient name.
Cause. The name has been found but is not a valid type for use as a recipient.
Effect. The requested function is not performed.
Recovery. Make sure you specify only a correspondent or a distribution list as a
recipient.
