TRANSFER Errors (4000-6999)

Recovery. Check to see if your text is still displayed or if the output file location you
supplied is spelled correctly and is valid. If the program was either the host-resident
or the workstation-resident IXF software, see the 654X Information Xchange Facility
User's Guide.
If the problem persists, ask the system manager to check that the formatter and editor
program file names are specified correctly in your mail profile.

CPU failure stopped process.
Cause. The text editor, formatter, or IXF file transfer program that TRANSFER invoked
for you has stopped running because of a processor failure.
Effect. If the program was a text editor, you have lost any text you had entered.
Recovery. No recovery possible unless file was periodically saved.
4402
Requested program could not be started. See your system manager.
Cause. TRANSFER attempted to invoke a text editor, formatter, or IXF file transfer
program for you, but the process could not be started because of the GUARDIAN 90
error indicated by the displayed error number.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Try the function (edit, print, format, copy, or add enclosures) once again. If
the error persists, ask your system manager to check that the formatter and editor
program file names are specified correctly in your mail profile.

GUARDIAN 90 error.
Cause. A GUARDIAN 90 operating system error occurred.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Report the error and the displayed error number to the system manager.

Remote CPU failure stopped process.
Cause. The CPU failed at the remote node in which the process is running.
Effect. Your operation was interrupted.
Recovery. Contact the system manager for the remote node to learn when the CPU
will be running again. Then try your operation again.
