TRANSFER Errors (4000-6999)

The file already exists.
Cause. You tried to create a file that already exists.
Effect. No new file is created.
Recovery. You can either rename the old file or purge it if you want to reuse the file
name.
4410
The workstation or PC-resident IXF software could not be invoked.
Cause. You requested a file transfer to or from a workstation, but the PC-resident IXF
program could not be invoked.
Effect. The file transfer is not executed.
Recovery. The error number displayed to the far right of the advice line is the error
code that was returned by MS-DOS. Check the DOS documentation for the meaning
of the message and retry the operation.

The PC-resident IXF process terminated unexpectedly.
Cause. You requested a file transfer to or from a workstation, but the PC-resident IXF
program terminated unexpectedly.
Effect. The file transfer is not executed.
Recovery. The error number displayed to the far right of the advice line is the error

of the message and retry the operation.
