TRANSFER Errors (4000-6999)

Recovery. To put data out to, or get data from, a PC disk file within PS MAIL, you
must be using an acceptable workstation.
4486
Expected text file name is missing.
Cause. This is an internal error that occurred while invoking the text editor named in
your correspondent profile.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Notify the system manager.
4488
Your text editor must be either EDIT, T-TEXT, or TEDIT.
Cause. You tried to invoke an incompatible text editor.
Effect. No editor is invoked.
Recovery. The only text editors that can be invoked from PS MAIL are TEDIT or EDIT.
Use either of these.
4489
There is an invalid terminal flag. See your system manager.
Cause. The software cannot run because the terminal is not set for it.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Ask the system manager to reconfigure the terminal.

Invalid item count specified.
Cause. An invalid number of items was specified in a request to the G-FILE Server.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Report this to the Tandem Online Support Center.

Invalid transfer option.
Cause. An invalid direction for data transfer was specified in a request to the G-FILE
Server.
Effect. The function you requested is not performed.
Recovery. Report this to the Tandem Online Support Center.
