GTRINIT Obey File
The GTRINIT obey file contains the commands that invoke programs to create and
initialize TRANSFER data files. The GTRINIT file is written to the configuration
subvolume by definition program CDTRDEF if you specify INITIAL in the execution
command.
After you run the CDTRDEF program with INITIAL specified, execute the obey file by
specifying the following command:
1> OBEY GTRINIT
Obey file GTRINIT requires that files GTRFUP and GTRLOAD reside in the
configuration subvolume. These files are generated at the same time GTRINIT is
generated by the CDTRDEF program.
Caution Run the obey file GTRINIT only when initially installing Base TRANSFER. If you run this obey file when
redefining Base TRANSFER, you lose the data contained in the existing data files because GTRINIT
reinitializes them.
When GTRINIT executes, expect to get messages that indicate warnings or errors. For
example, GTRINIT purges files before creating them. If these files do not exist, which
is true the first time you install TRANSFER, you get warning messages about the
nonexistent files. Ignore these warnings, but examine all messages for exceptions.
