PS MAIL 3270
Definition Procedure
PS MAIL 3270 is an optional component of a TRANSFER system. Installation of
PS MAIL 3270 requires that you run the CDIMDEF program to generate command
files for configuring, starting, and stopping PS MAIL 3270. Before you install PS MAIL
3270, you must install Base TRANSFER.
CDIMDEF Program
CDIMDEF The CDIMDEF program uses configuration information in the DEFINEIM
file to generate configuration files for PS MAIL 3270. For the description of
DEFINEIM, see the PS MAIL 3270 define file in Appendix A.

CDIMDEF
is the PS MAIL 3270 definition program. This program resides on the TRANSFER
user-DSV. If the TRANSFER user-DSV is not the default subvolume, specify
CDIMDEF in the form:

run-option
is an option of the GUARDIAN 90 command interpreter RUN command, as
described in the Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL) Reference Manual.
Include the option OUT $
filename
, which specifies a printer or spooler process
to receive the listings generated by CDIMDEF.

subvol
is the volume and subvolume in which file DEFINEIM resides (the configuration
subvolume). You must specify the subvolume, but you can use a default volume.
CDIMDEF stores the generated files in the configuration subvolume.
INITIAL
specifies a definition run for PS MAIL 3270 installation. INITIAL is optional and
available only for compatibility with other definition programs. Running INITIAL
and running REDEFINE produce the same result.
REDEFINE
is optional and is assumed if you specify neither REDEFINE nor INITIAL.
