PS MAIL TTY
Definition Procedure
PS MAIL TTY is an optional component of a TRANSFER system. Installation of
PS MAIL TTY requires running the CDCMDEF program to generate command files
for configuring, starting, and stopping PS MAIL TTY. Before you install
PS MAIL TTY, you must install Base TRANSFER.
CDCMDEF Program
CDCMDEF The CDCMDEF program uses configuration information in the
DEFINECM file to generate the command files for PS MAIL TTY. For the description
of DEFINECM, see the PS MAIL TTY define file in Appendix A.

CDCMDEF
is the PS MAIL TTY definition program. This program resides on the TRANSFER
user-DSV. If the TRANSFER user-DSV is not the default subvolume, specify
CDCMDEF in the form:

run-option
is an option of the GUARDIAN 90 command interpreter RUN command, as
described in the Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL) Reference Manual.
Include the option OUT $
filename
, which specifies a printer or spooler process
to receive the listings generated by CDCMDEF.

subvol
is the volume and subvolume in which file DEFINECM resides (the configuration
subvolume). You must specify the subvolume, but you can use a default volume.
CDCMDEF stores the generated files in the configuration subvolume.
INITIAL
specifies a definition run for PS MAIL TTY initialization. INITIAL is optional and
available only for compatibility with other definition programs. Running INITIAL
and running REDEFINE produce the same result.
REDEFINE
is optional and is assumed if you specify neither REDEFINE nor INITIAL.
