X400 Gateway Definition
and Initialization
The X400 gateway is an optional component of a TRANSFER system. Installation of
the X400 gateway requires that you run the CDX4DEF program to generate command
files for configuring, starting, and stopping the X400 gateway. For an initial definition,
the installation also generates files for initializing X400 gateway data files.
Before you install the X400 gateway, you must install Base TRANSFER.
To install the X400 gateway initially, perform the following steps:
1. Run the CDX4DEF program for initialization.
2. Execute the obey file GX4INIT.
There is one step for redefinition:
Run the CDX4DEF program for redefinition.
See Section 8 for considerations on redefining and reconfiguring an existing X400
gateway configuration.
CDX4DEF Program
CDX4DEF CDX4DEF The CDX4DEF program uses configuration information in the
DEFINEX4 file to generate configuration files for the X400 gateway. For the
description of DEFINEX4, see the X400 gateway define file in Appendix A.
