Folder-order creation defaults, which are used as the default ordering criteria
and item retention times for all folders the correspondent creates. Ordering
criteria determines how items are stored in a folder and the presentation order
used when the folder is scanned. The ordering criteria are:
Ordering discipline, which can be chronological by time the item was
saved, by earliest delivery date for the item, or by item creator name
Ordering sequence, which can be ascending or descending
Duplicates allowed, which designates whether duplicate ordering keys are
allowed
Language and character map, explained in Section 9, ”Using ADMIN to
Administer TRANSFER,” of this guide
Whether suffixes allowed
Note If you are running a client that requires suffixes, such as Courier, you must turn on suffixes by typing a Y
(yes) in the Suffixes Recognized field.
Mail profile, which is used by TRANSFER clients, such as PS MAIL 6530,
PS MAIL 3270, and PS MAIL TTY
Default output device to which items are sent when the print function is used
and formatted output is requested
Formatting program, which specifies the program that is automatically
invoked when the print function is used and formatted output is requested
Editor, which specifies the text editor invoked in the correspondent’s behalf
when an edit function is requested
Attributes of the INBOX, OUTLOG, and WASTEBASKET special folders
Ordering criteria associated with each special folder
Item retention time associated with each special folder
