TRANSFER Scheduler
(TSCHED)
The TRANSFER scheduler, A-TSCHED server class, is defined for Base TRANSFER
with default parameter specifications.
You usually assign the TSCHED log file through the TRTSchedServLog parameter in
the DEFINETR file. You can also assign the TSCHED log file in TMANAGER.
The following is a sample ASSIGN statement generated in GTRCNFG:
ASSIGN LOG, $S.#TSCHED.LOG
This file receives messages for all types of scheduler activity. Messages related to
serious problems encountered by TSCHED are duplicated in the server OUT file as
long as the log and the server OUT file are not the same file.
The Base TRANSFER definition requires you to specify the TSCHED OUT file. In
most cases, logging to the server OUT file is sufficient for TSCHED logging. A log file
is recommended because it contains information needed to diagnose problems. The
LOGRECSPEROPEN parameter limits the size of the log file; this log can have a
significant impact on a large TRANSFER system.
Other parameters that you can change for the A-TSCHED server class are listed in
Table 7-2, together with the default specification.
