TRANSFER SYSTEM CONTROL Screen
Using ADMIN to Administer TRANSFER

Duration Controls—Maximum Package Lifespan
Use the Maximum package lifespan field to set the maximum duration that
TRANSFER monitors messages sent from your node.
Duration Controls—Minimum Delivery Window
Use the Minimum delivery window field to set the minimum duration for delivery of
messages sent from your node.
Duration Controls—Minimum Expiration Window
Use the Minimum expiration window field to set the minimum duration for
expiration of a message.
External Objects Enabled
Use the External Objects Enabled field to determine whether external objects are
enabled or not.
System Language and Character Map—Language ID
Use the Language ID field to enter the numeric ID of the default language on the
system.
System Language and Character Map—Character Map ID
Use the Character map field to enter the numeric ID of the default code set used for
input and output character mapping on the system.
Interest Group Creation Privileges
Use the Interest Group Creation Privileges field to determine who can create interest
groups at this node.
Function Keys The bottom of the SYSTEM CONTROL screen lists the functions that you can perform
by pressing the indicated keys.
Update changes you have typed on the SYSTEM CONTROL screen by pressing F8.
Get the HELP screen for an explanation of either the SYSTEM CONTROL screen
or the ADMIN message currently displayed on the advice line by pressing F15.
Recover the SYSTEM CONTROL screen to its previous state by pressing SF14.
Return to the MAIN MENU screen by pressing F16 or SF16.
