Example of Reconfiguring
the Depot Statistics Facility
As the system manager, you decide that you need to collect statistics once a week for a
quarterly report and keep track of them for a year.
Figure 9-5 illustrates the existing configuration on the DEPOT STATISTICS
CONFIGURATION screen.

To change your collection of depot statistics, you type new values in the Next Config
column:
1. Set Collect Statistics to YES for TRANSFER to collect statistics.
2. Keep counting items delivered to the depot only after the recipient has examined
them.
3. Keep the time for statistics collection at midnight.
4. Change the Sample Interval to seven days so that samples are collected once a
week.
5. Change the Number of Samples to 13 so that samples are kept for a quarter, or 13
weeks.
6. Change the Number of Averages to 4 so that averaged statistics are saved for four
quarters, or a year.
