Type of Work is one of 16 types of work represented by the entry, as follows:
1: Submit Package 9: Delivery Ends
2: Cancel Package 10: Unsave Item
3: Local Delivery 11: Delete External Object
4: Local Package Expiration 12: Translation Requested
5: Remote Shipment 13: Receipt Notification
6: Remote Cancel 16: Nonreceipt Notification
7: Certify Package 1001: End Session
8: Delete Item 9999: Invalid Function Code
Note Delete Item deletes an item from the TRANSFER database; Unsave Item removes an item from a folder.
If the READY, NET, or HELD queue is displayed, a column at the right of the
screen—Node Name—contains the network node associated with the queue entry
for a type-of-work 5 or 6.
If the TIME queue is displayed, the column Waiting Until displays the time that
the queue entry is waiting for.
In each case, the appropriate column header appears.
If the READY or HELD queue is displayed, a last screen column, Held, appears,
with a Y displayed for each entry that is a HELD record.
Considerations
Consider the following as you view the SCHEDULER QUEUE SCAN screen:
With the exception of the NET queue, entries displayed on the SCHEDULER
QUEUE SCAN screen are listed in the order in which they will be processed by
TRANSFER. Entries on the NET queue are processed by node name.
Following the entries to be processed by the TAREQs on the READY queue are
entries for translation requests. Translation requests have a priority of 1000 and
are processed by a separate process, XLREQ. Following translation requests come
HELD records. No HELD record is processed until it is UNHELD by the system.
When you press PREV PAGE to display more recent entries in the queue, it is
likely that new entries will have been added and previously displayed entries
removed. Because queues are dynamic, returning to a previous screen might not
give you the same information. Furthermore, the page number displayed at the
top of the screen might not be correct. For example, when you press PREV PAGE
while you are on Page 1, if there are newer entries on the queue they are
displayed, but the page number remains at 1. To be sure to get the most recent
entries in a queue, press SF4.
