Using the FOLDER SCAN
Screen
The FOLDER SCAN screen displays up to 12 folder items on each screen. You can
press NEXT PAGE and PREV PAGE to view other items in the current folder.
The Folder field at the upper left of the screen displays the folder currently being
scanned. To scan another folder, type the name of the desired folder and press F11.
You can enter the name of a shared group folder if you are a group member.
If an item was imported by the TRANSFER X400 gateway, the creator name is
identified by _X400_.
To obtain detailed information about an item, select the item with the cursor and press
F12 to get the ITEM TRACE screen. The ITEM TRACE screen is discussed next in this
section.
Example
A correspondent having trouble with a given item can forward the item to you, the
system manager.
In Figure 10-12, for example, you as system manager get a request from Celia Dugan
to find out what happened to message she has sent—perhaps to the wrong
distribution list—about sales figures for September.
When you receive the original problem item as a forwarded item, you must isolate it
before you can deal with it because you cannot trace attachments.
1. Using PS MAIL 6530, scan your INBOX and select the forwarded item.
2. Press SF1 to get the SHOW ATTACHMENTS screen and select the attachment.
3. File that attachment to the INBOX or another folder.
4. Scan the folder on the TMANAGER FOLDER SCAN screen.
5. Select the item by using the Item Trace F12 function, which provides the item ID
and other details.
6. Press F7 from the ITEM TRACE screen. The RECIPIENT SELECT screen and its
related RECIPIENT DISPLAY screen provide a complete list of TRANSFER
recipients as well as whether the package has been sent from the local node to
remote recipients. (The RECIPIENT screens are discussed later in this section.)
