The TRANSFER installation procedures automatically configure the SMSERV and
TSAMPLE server classes in the TRANSFER PATHWAY configuration, create the
DBSAMPL and QSAMPL files, and add the required Namespace entries to the
Configuration Directory.
In addition, the installation procedures add a program for the standalone version of
TMANAGER to the base TRANSFER PATHWAY configuration. (TMANAGER is also
accessible from the ADMIN client.)
When the DBSAMPL or QSAMPL files become full, you can take one of three actions:
Resize and reload the files. This is the standard practice for most TRANSFER files
that are full.
Use the FUP command PURGEDATA to remove all data from the file. With this
procedure, you lose previous samples.
Make a copy of the existing full file for backup; then purge the data on the
production copy of the file.
