Configuration Changes After TRANSFER has been initialized, you might want to change some of the
configuration data defined at your node. Information about configuration changes
appears in Section 7, “Customizing a TRANSFER System”; in Section 8, “Redefining a
TRANSFER System”; and in the following subsection, “Moving TRANSFER Data
Files.”
Caution Once TRANSFER is running in a production environment, do not change your system name or system
number; they are an integral part of the IDs that identify the objects defined at your node. If a system
name or number must be changed at a node where TRANSFER is running, the TRANSFER database on
that node must be reinitialized. Existing data cannot be preserved.
If a distribution-list name or a correspondent name defined at your node changes, all
correspondents, distribution lists, and applications that depend on the name must be
informed of the change.
