Several types of messages related to TRANSFER are listed in this appendix. These
include messages issued by the TRANSFER definition programs (CDTRDEF,
CDMLDEF, CDIMDEF, CDCMDEF, and CDX4DEF); startup messages issued by
TRANSFER servers; messages written to output files by certain TRANSFER servers;
and messages reported by TCHECK when data-file inconsistencies are detected.
Definition Program
Messages
When a definition program is run to create the obey and command files for installing
TRANSFER feature components, the particular definition program issues a message
when it encounters an error.
This subsection lists the error and warning messages that can be displayed by all the
definition programs. Variables in messages appear in italics. The letter
n
indicates a
numeric value. Keyword parameter names are represented as
keyword
