Base TRANSFER Data Files
The TRANSFER Environment

Recipient (RECIP)
Contains the recipient names for packages posted at your node and the
correspondent names at your node that are recipients of packages posted at other
nodes.
Item Descriptor (ITEMDESC)
Contains descriptions of packages and items stored in depots at your node.
Item Data (ITEMDATA)
Contains the data in the packages and items described in the Item Descriptor file.
External Objects (EXTOBJS)
Contains records naming objects external to the TRANSFER database—such as
GUARDIAN 90 files—that are attached to TRANSFER items or other external
objects.
Inverted Attachment (IATTACH)
Contains information that shows whether an item ID or external object ID is
attached to another item or primary external object.
Session (SESSION)
Contains information related to sessions currently in progress for correspondents
at your node.
Ready, Time, Net (READY) (TIME) (NET)
Used by the TRANSFER scheduler; each of these files has an alternate key file:
READY0, TIME0, and NET0.
Data Base Sample (DBSAMPL)
Contains database sample records collected by the TSAMPLE server.
Queue Sample (QSAMPL)
Contains TSCHED queue sample records collected by the TSAMPLE server.
Depot Statistics (DEPSTAT)
Contains statistics collected by the depot statistics facility.
The DEPSTATO file is a copy of the DEPSTAT file from a previous configuration,
if any.
Text (TEXTFILE)
Describes text that the TRANSFER system displays to users, as well as keywords
that the TRANSFER system accepts from users.
Character Map (DTCMAPS)
Defines characters for use in text and TRANSFER names.
