Appendix C Contents of the User-DSVs

Appendix C describes the files on the user-DSVs for a TRANSFER delivery system. A
user-DSV is a copy of the files provided by Tandem on a distribution subvolume
(DSV). The DSVs for TRANSFER system components are:
TRANSFER user-DSV—installation files for all components; software and user
information files for Base TRANSFER, ADMIN, TMANAGER, and the X400
gateway
MAIL6530 user-DSV—software and user information files for PS MAIL 6530
MAIL3270 user-DSV—software and user information files for PS MAIL 3270
MAILTTY user-DSV—software and user information files for PS MAIL TTY
When you copy the distribution subvolumes to make a user-DSV, you can copy the
subvolumes to one user-DSV or to separate user-DSVs. Separate user-DSVs are
described in this manual only for clarity in documenting the software associated with
the different components.
TRANSFER User-DSV The TRANSFER user-DSV contains installation files for all TRANSFER components. It
also contains user information files and software files for the following TRANSFER
system components:
Base TRANSFER
ADMIN
TMANAGER
X400 gateway
The files are grouped functionally by component and listed by name, along with a
description of each.
Base TRANSFER installation files
CDTRDEF Definition program for Base TRANSFER
TRDEFLTS Defaults files for Base TRANSFER; provides the default
configuration for the component
XIADMIN Utility to add a system administrator
XIINIT TRANSFER data file initialization utility
X400 gateway installation files
CDX4DEF Definition program for X400 gateway
X4DEFLTS Defaults files for X400 gateway; provides the default
configuration for the component
X4INIT X400 gateway data file initialization utility
