In order to run this step you will need to cool start the
TRANSFER system.
VOLUME <config subvol>
RUN XCOOL ! This cool starts TRANSFER
PATHCOM <TRPathmonName>
=ADD PROGRAM M6530-GERMAN1,LIKE M6530-1,
TYPE T16-6530(INITIAL MAIL-GERMAN, TCLPROG <cust>)
etc for M6530-2 for as many as configured.
=ADD PROGRAM GERMAN-ADMIN,LIKE ADMIN,
TYPE T16-6530(INITIAL GERMAN-ADMIN, TCLPROG <cust>)
Alternatively you may prefer to ALTER the description of
existing M6530-1 ... M6530-n and ADMIN programs to have the
correct INITIAL run units rather than add additional program
entries.
6) The final step is to correctly configure correspondents profile
item to reflect the use of the GERMAN language and terminal.
If you are using a GERMAN 653X terminal then you should now use
the newly defined GERMAN-ADMIN program or from a USASCII
terminal use the original ADMIN program.
PATHCOM <TRPathmonname>;RUN GERMAN-ADMIN
Logon on as a system adminstrator and then create or alter
existing MODEL-DEPOTs in the TRANSFER profile.
The two important entries are:-
Language ID 03 for GERMAN
Character Map ID 65304 for the GERMAN terminal
Then alter all existing correspondent profiles in a similar
manner. These entries are only modifiable by a system
adminstrator.
You may wish to review correspondents names at this stage and
correct any spelling mistakes forced on you by earlier versions
of TRANSFER. See also "TRANSFER Name Character Mappings" below.
Installation Instructions for Multiple Languages:
1) If you are installing multiple languages on a node then you will
have two or more National Language DSVs. You should note that
English is automatically included in all versions and no special
action is needed to include it.
2) All current languages may be included on a single system except
that Hebrew may ONLY be combined with automatically included
English and not with any other languages. This is due to the
use of a different character page for Hebrew.
