X400 depot. A depot defined at each X400 gateway node. This depot is used when a
message needs to be exported to a foreign X400 network. When an message to be sent
to an X400 correspondent arrives at the local gateway node, the message is saved in
the _X400_ depot’s INBOX folder for each X400 recipient. The message ID is placed on
a queue, and the export server is informed that it has work to do.
X400-EMSERV. The X400 entry manager server that handles enqueuing, reading, and
dequeuing of queue entries; an application can have many entry managers for each
Queue file.
X400-EXPORT folder. A special folder that holds X400 messages that were successfully
exported.
X400 Exporter server. The server that handles messages being exported from
TRANSFER to the X400 network.
X400-EXPORT-PROBLEM folder. A special folder that holds X400 messages that were not
exported because of a problem.
X400 gateway node. The node where the TRANSFER X400 gateway is installed. Each
group of TRANSFER nodes has a single TRANSFER X400 gateway node. When you
send a package to a foreign recipient, the package is transported to the gateway node
and is then exported.
X400-IMPORT folder. A special folder that holds X400 messages that were successfully
imported.
X400 Importer server. The server that handles messages coming into TRANSFER from
the X400 network.
X400-IMPORT-PROBLEM folder. A special folder that holds messages that were not
imported correctly.
X400-WMSERV. The X400 wait manager server that handles waiting for new queue
entries; an application can have only one wait manager for each Queue file.
XCNFG. The program that configures all defined TRANSFER system components.
XCNFG is generated when you run the definition program for Base TRANSFER
(CDTRDEF) and resides in the configuration subvolume.
XCOOL. The program that starts all defined TRANSFER system components. XCOOL
is generated when you run the definition program for Base TRANSFER (CDTRDEF)
and resides in the configuration subvolume.
XIINIT utility. The program you run to initialize the database files that TRANSFER uses.
The initialization consists of inserting the version control record for each file that is
empty and creating certain depots.
XSTOP. The program that shuts down the TRANSFER PATHWAY system and stops
any processes that continue to run after the shutdown. XSTOP is generated when you
run the definition program for Base TRANSFER (CDTRDEF) and resides in the
configuration subvolume.
