X400 Gateway Files The TRANSFER database provides the following files for the X400 gateway:
If X400 is enabled on your node, the following file is automatically added to your
TRANSFER database:
X400 Name File (X400NAME)
The X400 Name (X400NAME) file stores the X400 names that are associated with
packages and distribution lists. Among the records it includes are the recipient
types—P1, TO, CC, or BCC.
If your node is an X400 gateway node for the TRANSFER X400 network, your
TRANSFER database includes the following files:
P1 Message ID File (P1MSGID )
The P1 Message ID (P1MSGID) file keeps a correlation between the P1-message ID
and the TRANSFER item ID. The alternate key file, P1MSGID0, makes it possible
for a single item ID to correlate to multiple P1-message IDs and for a single
P1-message ID to correlate to multiple item IDs.
This file exists only on a gateway node.
P2 Message ID File (P2MSGID )
The P2 Message ID (P2MSGID) file keeps a correlation between the P2-message ID
of a package and the item ID of the package. The alternate key file, P2MSGID0,
makes it possible to reference this information by either the P2-message ID or the
TRANSFER item ID. The importer uses this file to find the gateway node for the
item ID correlating to a message ID that is reported on by a P2 notification
message.
This file exists only on a gateway node.
X400 Queue File (X400QUEU)
When you install the TRANSFER X400 gateway, a Queue Manager queue file
(X400QUEU) is created. The queue file contains entries placed in the file by the
X400 Importer server and the X400 Exporter server. The file is an audited key-
sequenced file in which multiple queues can be stored. Each queue entry has a
32-byte queue-name field, a priority field, a timestamp field, a CPU-PIN field that
holds the CPU-PIN of the server placing the entry on the queue, and a user data
field.
“Partitioning TRANSFER Database Files” in Section 12, “Troubleshooting,”
explains how to partition the X400 Queue file.
This file exists only on a gateway node.
