TMF Audited Files
The TRANSFER Environment

TMF Audited Files TRANSFER requires TMF to ensure the consistency of the TRANSFER database and to
assure package delivery. To guarantee this, the following TRANSFER database files
must be configured as TMF audited files:
Profile file (PROFILE)
Item Descriptor file (ITEMDESC)
Recipient file (RECIP)
Folder file (FOLDER)
Distribution List file (DISTLIST)
Inverted Folder file (IFOLDER)
Name file (NAME)
Queue Manager Queue file (QUEUE)
Inverted Attachment file (IATTACH)
External Objects file (EXTOBJS)
Interest Group file (INTGROUP)
X400 Name file (X400NAME)
P1-Message ID file (P1MSGID)
P2-Message ID file (P2MSGID)
Directory Services Data file (DSDATA)
Depot Statistics file (DEPSTAT)
It is recommended that the following files be TMF audited files to ensure complete
integrity of the TRANSFER database:
Session file (SESSION)
Item Data file (ITEMDATA)
TRANSFER software, however, does not require that these files be audited. The
installation procedures, by default, set up the Item Data file and the Session file as
TMF audited files.
In addition, the following files must never be configured as TMF audited files:
Ready file (READY)
Time file (TIME)
Net file (NET)
Character Map file (DTCMAPS)
Textfile (TEXTFILE)
Data Base Sample file (DBSAMPL)
Queue Sample file (QSAMPL)
Network Traffic Logging file (TRAFLOG)
Remote Open Control file (ROPENCTL)
The Ready, Time, and Net files each have an associated alternate key file. These
alternate key files are never audited.
