TISERV
TRANSFER interactive server, which provides the application interface with
TRANSFER. This server is used in the TISERV and TISERV-ASYNC server classes
for Base TRANSFER, and in the TTY-TISERV server class for PS MAIL TTY.
TISERV must be licensed, using the FUP LICENSE command.
TISERV-ASYNC servers are used by TAREQ pseudo-terminals to perform local
package delivery. You must define the TISERV-ASYNC server class to have at
least one member for every TAREQ pseudo-terminal you define at your node.
SMSERV
TRANSFER system-management server. SMSERV performs system-management
functions. The system-management server is called by TMANAGER.
TSAMPL
TRANSFER sampler server. TSAMPL takes samples of the TRANSFER database
and scheduler queues for system monitoring.
SPREP
TRANSFER statistics program that initializes statistics when statistics collection is
first configured on a system or when the statistics configuration changes.
Although it is not an actual server, SPREP uses the A-STATS server class. When
statistics are being collected and their initialization is complete, this program is
stopped automatically by TRANSFER.
FPSERV
File Utility Program (FUP) server. FPSERV is invoked by the TISERV, TWORK,
and G-FILE to create and copy external objects. It is not configured as a
PATHWAY server class.
