Forwarded IP-Message
Indication (P2)
The forwarded IP-message indication specifies that a message is being forwarded.
Data Structure
Forwarded messages are indicated by item type 111, 114, and 117.
Access
The gateway automatically sets forwarded IP-message indication for items of type 111,
114, and 117, and includes as body parts all components that have a mail content type.
Create an item of type 111 or 114 with CREATE-ITEM or use the
ALTER-ITEM-DES-C20 UOW to set the item type for an existing item.
An incoming package with forwarded IP-message indication set causes the
TRANSFER delivery system to create an item with an item type of 111. To retrieve a
forwarded item, use the
GET-ITEM-COMPNT-A01 UOW.
Grade of Delivery
Selection (P1)
Grade of delivery selection allows you to request one of three priority levels for a
message. Grade of delivery has values that are similar to the TRANSFER priority
mechanism.
Data Structure
Grade of delivery is based on package priority and resides in the item descriptor.
Access
Use the ALTER-ITEM-DES-C20 UOW to specify priority for a package. TRANSFER
priority can range from 0 to 199. The gateway maps priority to one of three grades of
delivery, as listed in Table 6-8.
