UOW Definitions
The XDIR Server
069138, Update 1 to 040970 Tandem Computers Incorporated E–3
2. Alter the Exporter and Importer definitions to refer to these XDIR servers, entering
the PARAM specifications NUMXDIR and XDIR.
NUMXDIR is the number of server processes that can be running.
XDIR is the process name range for the servers.
For example, you might type in the following values:
ALTER X400-EXPORTER, PARAM NUMXDIR 3
ALTER X400-EXPORTER, PARAM XDIR "$XDR0:9"
ALTER X400-IMPORTER, PARAM NUMXDIR 3
ALTER X400-IMPORTER, PARAM XDIR "$XDR0:9"
Add these commands to the CUSTCNFG file so that the changes are not lost.
UOW Definitions The discussion of the X400-NAME field in the TRANSFER Reference Manual gives the
DDL definition of an O/R name.
NAME-CONTEXT is a new base definition for XDIR. Additional UOWs are essential
for the XDIR server to translate X400 O/R names. This subsection contains the
definition of NAME-CONTEXT, followed by the definitions of new UOWs and their
RSPs.
The UOWs can return the following errors:
0 OK — Use the returned values and continue.
4160 E-MALFORMED-X400-NAME — Send a nondelivery report for
this recipient, but continue with the message.
4990 E-IO-TIMEOUT — Retry the export or import, unless it
has been retried three times already.
5300 E-DONT-RETRY — Reject the message and use the reason
and diagnostic codes in the RSP.
