X400-TO-CORR
The XDIR Server
E–8 069138, Update 1 to 040970 Tandem Computers Incorporated
RETN-CODE-DETAIL
is an error number that can be returned as a further qualification of an error; it is
ignored.
CORR-NAME
is the TRANSFER correspondent name equivalent of the O/R name in the UOW.
Although the Importer does not interpret this name, it must be a syntactically
correct name.
REASON-CODE
is the reason code to be used in a nondelivery report if RETN-CODE is 5300.
DIAGNOSTIC-CODE
is the diagnostic code to be used in a nondelivery report if RETN-CODE is 5300.
X400-TO-CORR Operation
The X400-TO-CORR UOW accepts an X400 O/R name and translates the name to the
TRANSFER correspondent name equivalent. The Importer sends this UOW to the
user's XDIR server.
A return code of 0 or a negative value indicates a successful processing.
A return code of a positive value indicates that processing failed. If the name
translation fails, the Importer takes one of these actions:
An error code of 4160, if the name was for a P1 recipient, indicates that the name
was unacceptable, and a nondelivery report is returned to the originator with a
reason code of UNABLE-TO-TRANSFER (1) and a diagnostic code of
UNRECOGNISED-OR-NAME (0).
An error code of 5300 indicates that the originator should be sent a nondelivery
report with the reason and diagnostic codes specified in REASON-CODE and
DIAGNOSTIC-CODE.
Any other positive error code, such as 4990, indicates that this might be an
intermittent problem, so the import is retried. After three retries, a nondelivery
report is generated with a reason code TRANSFER-FAILURE (0) and a diagnostic
code of MTS-CONGESTION (2).
