TRANSFER Programming Manual

Autoforwarded Indication (P2)
X400 Services
069138, Update 1 to 040970 Tandem Computers Incorporated 6–19
The following paragraphs describe X400 service elements in alphabetic order. Each
description defines the service element, describes how the service element is stored by
the TRANSFER delivery system, and tells how to access the service element.
Authorizing Users (P2) Authorizing users are users who authorized a mail package that was sent by another
originator. For example, secretaries can send packages on behalf of their managers.
The TRANSFER delivery system allows you to specify up to 9999 X400 authorizing
users. The names of authorizing users are included for informational purposes—the
TRANSFER system does not use them for routing, nor does the TRANSFER system
provide an authorization mechanism.
TRANSFER authorizing users must be registered on a node that is grouped in the
same domain as the current node.
Data Structure
TRANSFER names of authorizing users reside in item data records of type 104,
starting with record sequence number 1. X400 names of authorizing users reside in
X400Name records with record type of 104.
Access
To add a TRANSFER correspondent as an authorizing user, use the ADD-AUX-NAME
UOW. To add an X400 user as an authorizing user, use the ADD-X400-AUX-NAME
UOW.
To retrieve a TRANSFER authorizing user name, use the GET-AUX-NAME or
GET-ITEM-REC UOW. To retrieve an X400 authorizing user name, use the
GET-X400-AUX-NAME UOW.
To delete a TRANSFER authorizing user, use the DELETE-AUX-NAME or
DELETE ITEM-REC UOW. To delete an X400 authorizing user, use the
DEL-X400-AUX-NAME UOW.
Autoforwarded Indication
(P2)
Autoforwarded indication specifies whether the body of an incoming mail message
has been automatically forwarded to prespecified users or distribution lists. The
indication is included for informational purposes—the TRANSFER delivery system
does not provide an autoforwarding mechanism.
Data Structure
The autoforwarded indication resides in the AUTOFORWARDED BOOLEAN field in
the item descriptor.
Access
Use the GET-ITEM-DES-C20 UOW to determine whether a message has been
autoforwarded.
