TISERV UOW Descriptions
069139, Update 1 to 40969 Tandem Computers Incorporated 2–115
ITEM-ID
is the ID of the item to be named or whose name is to be modified or deleted. (The
first item in the folder is indicated by the value of the figurative constant LOW-
VALUES.) To refer to an item produced by a previous UOW within the same IPC,
you can replace ITEM-ID with ITEM-HANDLE, which is defined in the
“Commonly Used Fields” subsection of this manual.
OPTIONS
contains one subfield for your use and seven subfields reserved for use by
Tandem.
AUTO-UNSAVE
indicates whether the current item should be automatically unsaved
(removed) from the current folder if an error occurs during processing of this
UOW. Specifically, if you select this option and an error occurs while you are
trying to assign a name to a currently unnamed instance of the item in the
folder, the item is automatically unsaved from the folder. This operation is
useful when you are attempting to save an item in a folder and then assign a
name to it within the same IPC.
Y Automatically remove the item if an error occurs during naming.
N Do not remove the item if an error occurs during naming.
If the AUTO-UNSAVE subfield is neither Y nor N, then E-MUST-BE-YN is
returned.
RESERVED-2 through RESERVED-8
are reserved for use by Tandem. These subfields must all be set to N;
otherwise, E-RESERVED-MUST-BE-N is returned.
SIMPLE-ITEM-NAME
is the name to be associated with the current item. This must be a TRANSFER
simple name. A value of spaces in this field indicates that no name should be
assigned; thus, to remove a name from an item, set this field to blanks.
