RETN-CODE-DETAIL
is an error number returned by a subsystem other than the TRANSFER delivery
system or is a further qualification of an error detected by the TRANSFER delivery
system.
ITEM-ID
is the ID assigned to the new item and returned by the TRANSFER delivery
system.
CREATE-ITEM Operation
CREATE-ITEM creates a new item and returns the ID in the ITEM-ID field. If the item
is to be a package header, as specified in the IS-PKG-HDR field, the TRANSFER
delivery system appends default package header information to the item descriptor.
When the item is created, it is saved in an internal temporary folder and is removed
from that folder when the session is terminated. If you must retain access to the new
item beyond the end of the current session, you must either save the item in a folder or
attach the item to another item.
If the depot storage statistics facility is active, the storage amounts in the item
descriptor record are set to 0.
