is an error number returned by a subsystem other than the TRANSFER delivery
system or is a further qualification of an error detected by the TRANSFER delivery
system.
DELETE-DLIST Operation
DELETE-DLIST deletes a distribution list by first deleting all members from the list (if
FORCE-FLAG is set to Y), and then removing the list name from the TRANSFER name
directory.
The current correspondent must be the creator of the object, a group administrator, or
a system administrator with write privileges. An E-SECURITY-VIOLATION error is
returned if an attempt is made to delete either of the special MEMBERS or ADMIN
group distribution lists.
Pointers from existing lists to a deleted distribution list remain in the system, but the
pointers have no meaning. To eliminate the unused pointers, purge them.
If the depot storage statistics facility is active, the size of the DLIST records is
subtracted from the DLIST depot storage statistics in the DEPSTAT file.
