is an error number returned by a subsystem other than the TRANSFER delivery
system or is a further qualification of an error detected by the TRANSFER delivery
system.
DELETE-FOLDER Operation
DELETE-FOLDER deletes the folder identified by FOLDER-NAME. TISERV removes
all items saved in the folder (if FORCE-FLAG is set to Y) and removes the folder name
from the TRANSFER name directory.
The current correspondent must be the creator of the object, a group administrator, or
a system administrator with write privileges.
If your application requests deletion of the special folders INBOX, OUTLOG, and
WASTEBASKET, these folders are emptied but the folder names remain in the system;
the RETN-CODE field is set to W-CONTENTS-PURGED. The contents of
WASTEBASKET can be deleted only by the logged-on correspondent.
If the depot storage statistics facility is active, the collection process depends on several
factors, listed in Table 2-8.
Table 2-8. Depot Storage Statistics for DELETE-FOLDER Operation
COUNT-
ITEMS-ONCE
Does the deleted item
exist in other folders?
Depot storage statistics
N Y or N Folder storage statistics are subtracted from the
current depot storage statistics in the DEPSTAT file.
Y N Current depot storage statistics decrease in the
DEPSTAT file.
Y Y Current depot storage statistics do not change.
You cannot delete the INBOX folder. You can, however, use the DELETE-FOLDER
UOW to delete all items in the INBOX folder.
