GET-PROFILE-ELEM Element Identifier 29
TISERV UOW Descriptions
2–358 069139, Update 1 to 40969 Tandem Computers Incorporated
supplied by the ALTER-PROFILE-ELEM UOW, both CODE-PAGE-ID and
CODE-SET-ID must fall in the range from 1 through 65535.
PAGE-STRING and SET-STRING
redefine CODE-PAGE-ID and CODE-SET-ID, respectively, for MOVE
operations in SCREEN COBOL and COBOL programs.
When you modify DATA-DEPOT-LANG-CMAP values with the ALTER-
PROFILE-ELEM UOW, the TRANSFER delivery system does not use the new
values until the correspondent starts a new session. You cannot modify
LANGUAGE-ID for a correspondent that has a session in progress.
Both the language and character map IDs specified with the ALTER-PROFILE-
ELEM UOW must be supported at the current node. The TRANSFER text file
must contain certain standard entries for the specified language. The specified
character map IDs must be defined at the local node.
A depot's language and character map settings are used by the TRANSFER
delivery system to interpret input data in UOW requests, and convert output
data in UOW responses, for a particular correspondent. The depot's language
also determines the names for that depot's special folders. The default value
for this identifier is inherited from the depot used as a model for depot
creation.
The return code is defined as follows:
DEF rtn-depot-lang-cmap TYPE BINARY 16.
