GET-X400-ORIG Operation
GET-X400-ORIG returns the X400 O/R name of the originator of a package that was
created by a foreign X400 user and then imported through the gateway. If the
specified item was not created by a foreign X400 user and then imported, then
E-NOT-X400-ITEM is returned. The requester can verify that a package was created
by a foreign X400 user by checking the X400-ORIG flag in the item descriptor. If the
flag is set to Y, then the message has an X400 originator.
For mail (P2) packages that originate from foreign X400 users, there are two forms of
the X400 creator name: one that was specified in the P1 message that carried the mail
package, and another that is specified in the P2 message. Normally, these two should
be the same or very similar, but it is possible for them to be different. Both names are
available to the client.; your client must determine which name is desired; You can
retrieve P2 names with a value of 101 for ORIG-TYPE. If the P2 originator name is not
available, then E-NO-P2-CREATOR is returned.
