SCAN-BY-ITEM-NAME
TISERV UOW Descriptions

FOLDER-NAME
is the name of a folder in which an instance of the item is saved. You can supply
the name in wild-card form, but the name must resolve to a unique and
unambiguous folder name. The folder can be a private folder owned by the
correspondent, a folder shared by a group, or a bulletin board, if the
correspondent is a member of the group that owns the folder.
In the response UOW, this field indicates the fully qualified name assigned to the
folder (including the correspondent name, folder name, system trigger, and node
name). If the request UOW contained a name in wild-card form, the fully
qualified name returned is the unique name to which the wild-card name
resolved.
QUALIFIED-ITEM-NAME
identifies a named item or starting scan position within the current folder. Use the
following syntax to qualify item names:
[
folder-name
.]
simple-item-name
To start the scan at the first named item in the folder, enter a value of spaces, *, or
folder-name
.* in this field. If a folder-name is present in this field, the
TRANSFER delivery system ignores the content of the FOLDER-NAME field input
with the UOW request; furthermore, in the UOW response, the TRANSFER
delivery system resolves the folder name supplied in QUALIFIED-ITEM-NAME
and places the fully qualified result into the FOLDER-NAME field. You can use
the wild-card character (*) to abbreviate an item name, as long as this character
only appears as the last character of the name. For example, INBOX.STO* is a
legal abbreviation, but INBOX.*TO is not legal.
OPTIONS
allows you to specify selection criteria for the items whose IDs are returned:
FILTER-BY-ITEM-TYPE
allows you to filter the scan by selecting only those named items of a given
type from the folder.
Y Select filtering. If you select this option, specify the item type to be
retrieved in ITEM-TYPE.
N Suppress filtering.
